|Queen Genevieve's Kingdom|
|Feature films||Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper|
Queen Genevieve's kingdom is a location in Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper. It is where the movie is set.
The kingdom is ruled by Queen Genevieve with her daughter Princess Anneliese being the heir to the throne. Erika, Julian, Bertie, Madame Carp, Nack, Nick and Preminger are some of the country's citizens.
The country is very poor at the beginning of the film and is now bankrupt since the gold has run out of the Royal Mines, which is why the queen wish for her daughter Anneliese to marry the very rich King Dominick, who is seeking a wife. What Queen Genevieve doesn't know is that the reason behind the kingdom's bankruptcy is her advisor, Preminger, who has been stealing the gold from the royal mines with his sidekicks, Nick and Nack, for a long time.
At the end of the film, Anneliese and Julian find out how to restore the kingdom's resources from some rocks from the mines that have geodes in them.
Queen Genevieve's kingdom is a mountainous kingdom with slightly reddish soil and rocks.
Not much is show of the kingdom, only a village at the foot of the castle situated high on a mountain top can be seen. With the additional knowledge that the kingdom is very poor, it can be inferred that the country does not have any big city, in any case probably nothing bigger than villages or hamlets.
